Back

Back in Calgary as of last night. It was a great weekend, and I am indeed writing again. Mostly on this novel that seems to be springing out of nowhere on me, but I'll keep following it as long as it leads. I do want to finish up and polish up my genetic engineering story and get it out for submission later this summer/fall, but I'll see. Right now, gotta stick with where the energy is.

Dingo did learn to swim over the weekend; it went pretty easy. Of course, he's completely intimidated by Meg around the water - Meg is so bossy and overbearing when it comes to water toys - so we have to work with each dog individually to keep them both swimming, but it's worth it. Both dogs are clean, shiny, and smell nice. Fortunately, Saturday was a rainy day up there, which meant we had the beach and lake to ourselves to play with the dogs.
